So, it´s a tiny mini-comic, but it looks real sweat, reads like a charm, and the cover print is just beautiful.
Now that I´ve seen how the final product will look like, hopefully I´ll get the incentives to finsih the alternate(Or other alternate) cover, and also collect the X-mas story. And of course the contest prices.
So yeah, don´t think I´ve forgotten my Space Monkey obligations. Things just take time. The other cover, the contest prices, and the X-mas magazine will all be made in due time. High quality is the most important thing.

Hopefully you´re all excited about Space Monkey season 2. When will it begin? Very soon, but I can´t announce anything yet. I´m open for suggestions to storylines, characters, anything else you may want. Just comment this blog-post to give me your suggestions.
Why isn´t Space Monkey season 2 starting yet? Simply because I need to tie up the loose threads from season 1 and the X-mas story. Season 1 will soon be up for sale as a tiny trade paperback, but I need to also make the alternative cover and make a simillar paperback for the X-mas story. Also, a slight redesign of the Space Monkey page is coming. And I need to finish the competition prices. Once all this is done, season 2 will start.

I just returned from Up! Fair in Kentucky, trying to promote the brand new Space Monkey #1. Americans responded well to the project, and especially to the newly made Space Monkey textile by artist Karina Presttun. It is nice to pet the logo.
I’ve only gotten to draw one of the two alternate covers as of yet, Tarjei A Heggernes’s wonderful “Mama’s don’t let your babies grow up to be Viking Cowgirls”, but I also working the cover by Jamie Gambell, “An Icy Case of Panda-monium!”, and will post it as soon as it’s finished. The version of the comic for Up! Fair was printed on a xerox-machine, but I’ve also submitted it to IndyPlanet.com as a perfect-bound paperback and will have a link to buy it as soon as I get my order confirmed.
But… It was none of this I came here to write about… You see… Tomorrow starts the very special Space Monkey Xmas Story! It will be a panel a day from now ’till the 24th of December. No voting for this one though. Regular voting will be back for Space Monkey season 2, starting in 2011.
There´s a new suggestion with a twist for the naming-contest. @tarjeiAH has suggested the title “The adventures of Space Monkey Vol 1: Mamas don’t let your babies grow up to be viking cowgirls”. And, since Tarjei is an accomplished musicians from bands such as Lost At Last, St. Satan and Heavy Metal Kings, and knows I´m a country-fan, he suggested that we do a cover of the song “Mamas, don´t let your babies grow up to be cowboys”(As popularized by Wille Nelson and Waylon Jennings) with updated lyrics if he wins.
So if you wanna hear me sing lines like “Viking cowgirls ain´t easy to love, and they´re harder to hold. They´d rather sever your head and pillage your gold”, then vote for his suggestion!
So… First of a few revelations about the future of Space Monkey.
From December 1. to December 24. there will be a Space Monkey Advent calender, with a single panel of a Xmas story every day. This will not be controlled by voting, sorry.

A correction from the boo: The winner of the Ship Redesign-contest will get the cover for the Xmas story, featuring their ship. The art will be drawn live on the Up! Fair.
Tomorrow I´ll post another audioboo with some evaluations of Season 1, and how we can use that to make Season 2 even better.
